Junior Golf
Our goal for the year is to put in place better structures to support and develop our junior membership in Cregmore Park.
Frank and Danny met with Justin O'Byrne, Connaught regional development officer for Junior Golf Ireland to discuss various ideas. (JGI – ref www.juniorgolfireland.com )

Junior coaching lessons with PGA Professional Gary Madden will commence in late March. Training will be based on the JGI level 1 and level 2 programs. Juniors will be provided with golf manuals associated with those programs and awarded certificates on completion. |

Competitions for juniors. This year we plan to set up a number of competitions for our junior members, aimed both at beginners and improvers. |

We will be organizing the Darren Clarke skills competition for our juniors. Winners can progress to regional and hopefullynational final of this competition. |

We also plan to enter a team into the 2010 Kenny Cup Boys U17 inter club matchplay (qualifiers on Tuesday July 6). |
We would greatly welcome ideas from both juniors themselves and from their parents in terms of proposed activities. We will also be looking for assistance from parents in organizing those competitions and I would especially welcome help from those who can be available during weekdays over the summer.
